Interlibrary Loan

We try to keep an up to date collection of the items that the majority of our patrons would want, however, as we are a small rural library, our selection may be limited, due to space and budget constraints. Thankfully, we are a participant in the SILO Interlibrary Loan Program. This program allows us to access books and movies from other participating libraries in the state and nation, for no additional charge!

If there is a book or movie that we do not have, that you would like to request, please call us at 288-4467. We will look up availability and request it for you. If it is available, we usually can have it here within a week or two.

This is a wonderful service, and we thank the State Library of Iowa for administering it for us.

Under our contract, this service is available for all patrons residing within the Fonda city and rural areas. If you are from another service area, and have a library card with us under Open Access, please speak to Linda at 288-4467 for more information.  Thank you!
